Default Cards, cards, cards?

I have a query about all the different cards that are mentioned on the site
I have heard au funcard 1-2-3 & 4, atmega, titanium, MOSC, and many others.
Basically what are the differences, can any card be used if you want to reprogram one. Also what is being referred to when ROM 10 & 11 is said.
Are these the same as the others?
Sorry i am a bit confused but am sure you can help explain it to me.

Cheers

Fun cards are the favorites on this site, you need 4 or 5 for cable, the numbers are to do with memory, there are loads of different cards but they use different files , rom 10 or 11 are the cc cards, mosc is a programme for a card to do with extracting info, and using rom10 or 11 cards.

You have an original mosc card for the box. It can be read with a programmer using nagra software. It is important that the programmer IS NOT set up to autodetect chip as it will erase image on it. If the card is unlocked you can get your numbers off it and rewrite with latest update image. Its all on the tutorial. I will tell you now it will all be very frustrating until you manage to do it so it works. Just keep going.

I take it if the card is locked i will have to bin it and
program a new one, say a funcard 3 or 4.

Also i have read about auto update funcards
What is "auto updated" does it mean you don't
have to redo it when they zap the cards.

You may be able to unlock the card with an unlooper. The autoupdate does exactly what it says on the tin....
Its mainly for key changes. If they zap it then it will still need reflashing.

You need MROM to reset your N*L card which is a MOSC card and probably a Rom11 one. First you have to unlock and clean your card. Then get an imge and right your box details in it and write it on your card through Nagra Edit Software. Tutorials how to write a nagra card is avaiable on my wbsite. Thanks
