Default dbox record to a landisk

just got one of thease Usb2. 0 Landisk (Nas)(MRT COMMUNICATION LTD,Taiwan)
lan disks set up on my home network (dbox2 set up on)
and i would like to set my dbox to directly record to it but not sure how to set it to do it
do i set the box to ftpfs as if it was a xbox?
it would be good if i could get the dbox to map it as a network drive so i can access all the files inside it (in and out)

any one hav any ideas

There is a NAS plugin written by Speedy some time ago that might do what you're looking for. I've attached the file.

IMPORTANT: the file needs renaming to .rar it is a rar achive, I've renamed it to attach it to this post, instructions are inside the archive - let me know how you get on.
Attached Files
File Type: pdf NAS Plugin V2.0.pdf (7.2 KB, 84 views)

cheers lincsat
i got it working by setting the box setting as the in the xbox as a streaming device guide.
with the ip,username alterd to suit! and ignore the bit about meadiacenter software
works fine with no mods or software.

just use the settings from dboxfaq v2.0

hope this helps

seems to work fine i have recorded a few prog's auto and manual and played them back.
i have it set up trough my router and set the landisk ftpfs up.
added the settings as above using the correct ip,user,pw and path but its almost exactly the same as the xbox

got the landisk from fleabay for £20 and used a drive that i had kicking around so its a load cheaper than a hd card for my dbox.
i have maped the drive trough a wifi router and can up/download trough it from both my pc and laptop and maybe my phone if i can work out how to set the thing.

next step is to find a codec to play the .ts files on windows media player so i can watch them in bed or load them onto the laptop and watch them at work

Depends on the image, most use either an "extras menu" of some sort in the main menu or something in the shellexec (blue button) menu - It does definitely sound like a Ucode thing as they don't all work with SPTS mode.
