What is "Err 2"?

i've got this error displayed on the front of my 1000 box. It displays "Err 2", does anyone know what that means.

My 2000 box works fine apart from the pin problem.

This is what i just had a quick look for and found mate, Something to do with memory fault:-


Err1_ CRC fail across Primary Loader image.
Err2_ No longer used.
Err3_ Insufficient NVRAM
Err4_ Flash Fail or can't find platform object
Err5_ NVRAM not found

Tuning Sequence Related Errors

Er10_ Unable to Tune to Last frequency
Er11_ Unable to Tune to Home Frequency
Er12_ Unable to Tune to any of the last NIT defined frequencies
Er13_ Unable to scan for a frequency
Er14_ Unable to scan for a symbol rate
Er16_ Unable to tune to hardcoded frequency

Input Stream Errors

Er20_ Timeout on receiving NIT
Er21_ Timeout on receiving PAT
Er22_ Timeout on receiving PMT
Er23_ Timeout on receiving object data
Er24_ Timeout on receiving TDT
Er25_ Sync loss has occurred on the input stream

Object Validation

Er30_ Object CRC Fail
Er31_ Object Digital Signature Fail

Flash programming errors.

Er40_ Insufficient Flash ( NAND Flash Specific )
ErrC_ Failed to Erase Flash Sector
ErrD_ Failed to Program a Flash sector.
ErrE_ CRC Failure of image just programmed into Flash

The viewing card is invalid
Card is not paired with DHT

ERROR CODE 1009
The viewing card is invalid
Card is paired with another DHT

ERROR CODE 1010
Access to the current event or service unauthorised
Viewing rights to channel or event is not granted

ERROR CODE 1011
Access to the current event or service unauthorised

ERROR CODE 1014
There is a problem with your set top box
The DHT has failed to retrieve channel map

ERROR CODE 1015
The channel is currently unavailable
DHT has a tune problem to a specific channel or channels

ERROR CODE 1016
There is a problem with your viewing card
The smart card has not been identified as a Nagra Card

does Err2_ No longer used mean that you cannot use the box anymore or can the problem be fixed.

problem can be fixed apparantly, pull red jumper for 30 secs then use fun net id and should be ok, cannot confirm that tho!

Err 2 means there is not enough RAM to run the application. Has your box got a simm? I had this problem it wasnt sitting right after I had replaced it when using led simm. Take it out and push it back in again firmly it should be ok then. All the error codes are in the download section in Pace installation manual.

Hi, im delighted to announce that i got my 1000 box going again. all i did was open the box up took out the board with the two chips partially unplugged and set it in firmly as suggested by Trafpol.

Then plugged in the power without the card and then inserted it in when the box had loaded up.

However im still dont know what you mean by "pulling the red jumper" ?

the little red thing by the battery. Take it off leave for 30 secs then put it back on. When you reboot the settings are cleared. Only do this if you are doing a clean start or want to reset net id etc...

i got error 2 on a pace 4001 it was the sim not in properly once put in properly it worked fine!! i had took out to clean contacts cuz of stuck in tune error, and forgot to put bak in b4 adding power and got err2, once in this err went away and all was good
