xbox 360 firmware discussion

dunno if i allowed to post this here more of a general discussion i guess, how many people have there xbox 360 firmware flashed? and how do they find the 360 with it done. i know a few guys who have had it done they say it fine but i want to do mine my self but getting annoyed my computer aint sata. so just general discussion what you think of the hacked 360 good idea or you think they will block you from playing online etc and make it harder for people to do....

ok now mate 360 has been firmware hacked for ages
u dont really need sata if u have a hitachi drive in ur xbox 360well as long as its not the latest version because with othet hitachi drives you can get a sata to usb converter and can firmware flash it with that from ur pc

to find out what drive u have u have to open up ur xbox 360 remove the security sticker hence voiding ur warranty utif any luck ur drive can be flashed sooner or later all drives willbe flashable well all newer ones as old ones you can flash now

xbox live microsoft did start banning xbox 360 but theres the new firmware which gets around it for now and the general feel was that the way people were backing up their gamesled them to getting banned as they were not stealth anyway flashing ur xbox 360is really simple and backing up your games

Make sure you use Ixtreme firmware or you will get banned from Xboxlive !!

There is a version for both hitachi and samsung now

the only time you get banned is if you play a game that not out in uk on a uk acount. Hacked 360 is a good idea. but what you need to do is mod the fan this will stop you getting 3 red lights which is because the chip is popping up because its getting to hot the fan is run on 9volts u just conect it to a 12 volt line

Or if you do use back ups make sure there stealth'd. The fan is a good move even MS are putting fans in there latest xbox's

ms are s*** the only thing they have done is to put 4 blobs of glue to try and stop the chip popping up

No check the latest batch out you will find a new fan installed and all the xbox's you have sent back for repair now come back with a new fan installed

its the stealth pfi dmi and ss sectors that were causing bannings, the new ixtreme fw just stops bad copies from booting and reporting back to ms, the old fw is fine as long as you dont boot unsecure games, which they shouldnt be if you made them yourself from your own legit discs, its the scene releases people download that arent patched properly causing bannings

Hi not sure if you can ask this but how do you go about backing up your xbox games is it a simple process any info would be great .
