Just been given free cable! They fitted a splitter and put a pace box downstairs and sent some coaxial upstairs and told us the line was live. I was under the impression connecting this line directly to the TV's aerial would give channels 1 to 5, am I wrong? At the moment I get a VERY poor signal, cable and connection seem fine though.
Chhers guy. Oh also, I want to run this cable to a different room at the moment it has a weird connection, whats the best way to run this another 10/15 meters? I.E what cables/cable connections will I need? It's all coaxial as far as I can tell but the ends dont look much linke BNC connectors. I'm pretty new to this though :P |

1) Get one of these;
Maplin > F Connector Socket to Socket Coupler 2) Get 2 of these; Maplin > Twist-On F Plugs= 3) Get some of this; Maplin > Satellite TV Cable FT100 Then, screw current (upstairs cable) into 1) Use one of 2) and screw onto one end of 3) Use other of number 2) scre onto other end of number 3) Attatch one end of newly made cable into 1) and put other end into Eurovox box upstairs. That's of course if you are using a dodgy box upstairs.
