Sammy 2100 dead

I managed to kill a sammy while jtaggin it (managed to drop something in the box while power was on and box was open Doh!), i found out that if i swapped the circuit board from where the power is supply is connected from my subbed box to the dead box all is well, so i know where the problem lies. What i'm thinking of doing is making the swap perminant and callin vm out to my subbed box telling them i spilt water on it or something and have them replace the box, do you think i could get away with it or would they smell a rat?

might charge you for it because its your fault, just ring them tell them it stopped working, power boards can fail at any time nothing last forever, things can break whether it 1 day old or 50 years old.

I did that a while ago , the kids had poked money in it and i moved the box to retrieve a dvd that had fallen behind it,and it went bang, i took top off to have a look and removed coins. they just came and changed it without even looking at it.

Virgin came round today and changed my box, and no charge
