Reverse No Update Mod on 4000

i bought a pace 4000 off fleabay and the clown i got it off has done a no update mod on it, i was working on it for ages setting the net id and when i got that sorted it wouldnt update after a further half hour or so messing i thought ill check so if it has had a no update mod done, and guess what...... it had! so ive got to go to maplins get the things i need and try it then! thing is i tryed just putting solder on the points thinking that will work but the power dont turn on it just clicks but luckily it didnt blow up so hopefully after i get the parts i need it will be ok, any body else had to reverse a no update mod?

I hope you can get the lid back on after soldering those huge resistor and cap on,he he. Serves you right for out bidding me. let us know if it works .

i couldnt of outbid you i boght it as a buy it now, lol the box is fuked cant do nowt with it, spares thats all it is now, i just sold a 4010 for spares too didnt have no power board if ide of saved it i could of used the power board off this. i only got 99p for it too on fleabay lol, what bad luck!

Yes bad luck m8, still it may come in handy, ive got a couple of 2110s without cards that are useless, im going to have a muck around with one, see if i can get it working.
