I had the same problem before on 4001. I left it on and came back after a cup of tea and the display changed to Tune.

I got this pace, when I removed the jumper.

if this is dalmatians guide to stuck on tune then trust me it is not as hard as it sounds.this is an excellent tut that has enabled me to fix several of these boxes no probs.i have only ever had one that i couldn't fix and after talking to dal he thinks that was very rare problem.so i say don't throw it out follow dals tut and the majority of these boxes will be fixed.

RV1D,

I believe this will help you, friend had same prob.

Remove Red Jumper Pin and leave for off for couple of mins then replace.

Remove Card and Aerial in from box.

Reboot box holding up and down until in ENG menu.

Change Freq to your setting (press services on box to save) then next page & pick a 4 digit number for pin, dont use 0000 or 1111 use something like "4376".

Get a strong hairdryer and use for around 20 mins on motherboard in box use until you can here joints clicking, go around all areas the motherboard and casing should be hot to touch.

Boot up box holding down key to force boot, box should then boot up, if not remove power wait 30 sec and try Ch+ and select.

Hope this helps.
