Default Loss of Channels - Please Help

Hi all

Just lost half my channels, started with Satanta Sports 2, now half the S*k Movies have gone along with loads more, the info box comes up with 'Insert Smart Card' then 'Code Updating' but this never updates!

Does this mean the box is faulty, or have the channels been re scrambled and are no longer available??

Please Help

Cheers
Lee

Have done a new power scan, and still having problems with:

Satanta Sports 2
S*y SD1
S*y SD2
ITV4

The 'Updating code' has now been on for approx 30 mins, no joy!

I seem to spend more time re-scanning this box and re-arranging channels on Voxer etc than actually watching programmes!!!!

Anyone else in the same boat??

Lee

Do an autoscan. Then goto channel 0001, drop down to the last channel in your list and see if there are any new ones there.

Quite often when a channel freq. gets changed, after a scan the new channel will append to the end of your channel listings.

Hi

Tried that and no luck, is it possible it needs a software update?
It is a Eurovox Red, 2007 model, only had it about a week.

Wouldn't have thought so.

Check all your connections too. Sometimes if a connection isn't sitting quite right you can get black screens.

Failing that, try

See what freq the affected channel is, Press "info" twice when watching channel. This will show you what freq that channel is on.

1. Press Menu
2. Press Installation
3. Press User Installation
4. Scroll to the particular freq affected *
5. Press ok on your remote. An arrow will appear.
6. Repeat step 4 & 5 for each channel affected.
4. Press Manual Scan (Blue button).

Screen may go black for a short period, this is normal. Do not press anything while it is like this. When the scan has finished, check your channels to see if they are back.

Also, goto your first channel 0001 (e.g. BBC1), drop down, this will let you see any new channels that have appeared on your list. Quite often any new ones appear at the very end of your channel list.

Hope this helps.

Failing that, do steps 1 to 3 above and on step 4 press the Power Scan instead (yellow button).

Tried all that, again no luck!
Thing is that 2 days ago they were all there working no probs!

Very annoying

Maybe the box itself is faulty.

Prior to me doing the power scan this morning, I erased all data, and reset both factory settings, thus starting from scratch, and still in this situation.

Then maybe the service provider has a prblem with some channels. Ask here if anyone else in your area has the same problem.
