Just got my eurovox and followed the instructions found here there and everywhere to the book. When I scan for channels I get nothing at all. I've got my cable line going into RF in, scart to my TV and power, nothing else is connected - as far as I'm aware the line is live.
It scans with nothing on screen for about 30 minutes, the only thing changing is level and quality levels which seem to vary quite a lot - from 99% on both to 3% on both. TP says 000 erm... anything else? I'm with t*l*w*st/virgin media but have tried using the other frequency with the same results. Thanks for your help

Box is red. I think the firmware is May but I'm not home now so can't tell you for certain? The supplier gave me firmware for Feb, I'm kinda worried that putting on the latest firmware will break it
. I can't think of any reason why he's distributing the box with ancient firmware when there's much newer fw out, weird.Do I need an aerial connected? In the manual theres a pic with an aerial connected but that seemed a bit stupid to me, I havent tried scanning it with an aerial connected yet though. Could also be a dead link so I'm gonnna find out if the line is live... somehow? Also when I got the box it had a few channels already stored on it which deleting the channel list didn't sort out :S Is there anything else I can try? thanks for the help

I had the same issue and someone suggested i need some tp's as mine stayed at tp:000 luckly someone near my area kindly sent me theres. It takes 5 secs to send it to the box, after which all i did was auto scan. I got the channels.
Although i did set the box to factory default, replash firmware and tried power scan.. and still did not work. Dont know for some odd reason power scan does not work. |

when you said paid, do you mean virgin media supplied the box. That is different and cant work. You need someone to download from a working eurovox. If you download the setup manual it will give you details on how to send a firmware and also download crf (service file, tps.. means same).
I have a file for pure NTL and ex cable and wireless. If you in any of these then you could try mine if you want. PM me if you need the files and softwares. |

Thanks but I'm not with NT*
... getting sick of putting stars all over the place, starting to make me feel paranoid.The bloke who sold me it also said the box was tested prior to sending it out which has pissed me off a bit because my definition this is not a new machine if he's tested it. I'll look into it some more tomorrow. The manual I have has no mention of transponders at all. The guy who sold me it also said it has the latest firmware on, wish I was at home to monkey about with it a bit to be honest, never mind... Thanks for your help anyway, if you stumble across anything te-west related that could help me out let me know! |

Grrrr! Lying twats! After forking out cash thinking I had a live line into my room it turns out I didn't at all! I'm so pissed off with these unprofessional wankers.
They come here claiming there gonna fit 2 units but instead but a supposedly live line into my house with nothing connected, then when I get kit to make it work I find out the line isn't even live, I haven't been this pissed off in a LONG time!. Thanks for the help anyway |
