Hi
Has anyone set the Eurovox Max up through a DVD recorder yet, and how easy is it?? Really wanted to set it up through a 'Twin Tuner' recorder so if recording something of the Eurovox could watch the TV through the Freeview Tuner. Is this possible? Cheers Lee |

Yeh, no problem with recording from a DVD recorder, see below, numbers in (brackets) refer to pin-outs on page 2 of the eurovox manual - Rear Panel View.
First plug your incoming signal into the "RF IN" (1) on the eurovox. Take a lead from "LOOP OUT" (2) to your "IN" antenna connection on your DVD Recorder. Next take a lead from the "OUT" antenna connection on the DVD to your TV (this gives you your free channels on the TV while the eurovox is either switched off or you are recording from it). Also connect your scart lead from eurovox "TV Scart Connector" (6) to your TV. Next take a second scart lead from "VCR Scart Connector" (7) and plug into the "IN" scart on your DVD Recorder. You could also take a connection instead from "TV/VCR" (9) on the eurovox and plug into the antenna "IN" on the DVD Recorder doing away with the lead coming from the eurovox "LOOP OUT" (2) connection. The DVD Recorder would then need to be tuned into channel 40, just like the way you had to tune in a VCR. The only problem here is that you would need to set up the eurovox and the DVD even if you wanted to record "Free" stations. D |

Thanks dolphin, i'll try that!
So you do not need a twin tuner dvd recorder then to watch other channels whilst recording a different channel on the eurovox? That will save me a few quid! |

Thats correct, just tune in to your normal service providers channels and let the DVD recorder do all the work.
By the way you can also set the eurovox up to turn itself on at a given time on a certain channel to match the DVD recorder's time settings so you can record a program while your away. D |
