Default read and store dvds cds etc

Hi All
Are there any standalone devices out there whereby you can load/feed cds into it and it will read them and catalogue their contents.
i ahve seen the something called stacker? or ridisk dc 300, but I think you still have to read these using your computer and then it stores it for you? am I correct in thinking this. Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Hi
What I was looking for is a standalone unit - hardware - that will read the disks. Thanks for your help though.
