I dont understand what i have done wrong. I have a 250.
I used NTL250 configurator to add the mac and other details. I am from north london. used annex 1 ds frequency: 586750000 config cmreg-ntlhm250-bund03.cm strange setting on the status page is on the downstream channel, channel id is 0 is this normal. i saw someone else setting he had Channel ID 1 Symbol rate 5056941 Also does the mac address and usb mac address be similar i have changed the last to one more. Do we always need this similar?? also the only lights on the modem is power and ether. No other lights, although can access internet but painfully slower then my subbed one (legit one) am i missing something??? My upload is better then download??? i thought it would be the other way. Upload is coming to around 750 kb and download is around 300kb. Someone help! Last edited by chrisnasah; 02-07-07 at 07:28 PM. Reason: more info |

If you're upload is 750k then you have the correct config file and settings for 20meg - there are a lot of people complaining about the 20meg service ATM.
Don't trust speedtesters, especially speedtest.net, it shows me having 2.5meg download at best (usually less than 1meg), I can download from Usenet at around 7-15meg and up to 15meg downloading from the web using an accelerator (Flashget). The Hacked 250's just have 2 lights on when connected (just one without the Ethernet connected). |

It's been bad again here the last couple of days - can't even get a solid 700k video stream without constant buffering ATM

It seems to be really bad during the capped period - 4pm to Midnight, with speeds under 1meg. Speed maxes out in the early hours - with my Dual-Wan router, I was getting 28meg usenet downloads at 5am Yesterday
