Default Potential Site Changes

Ok, we've got the forums moved and re-skinned, and the new downloads section should now be live (everyone with more than 5 posts should automatically have access to it within the next hour).

The next set of plans I want to try and implement are:

1. Slight re-arrangement of the boards:

a) seperate different FTA receivers into their own boards
b) add something for HDTV and IPTV
c) change the URL structures to remove board names from individual thread URLs

2. Portalise the site

i) Move the boards to a subfolder - um, forums.
ii) On the homepage add a News section and Reviews, with plenty of promo of the boards across the pages.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention that so if you log on one day and find yourself staring at a slightly different site, don't worry - the boards haven't been removed.

Sorry about that - technical problems and an admin cock-up stopped the downloads section from showing.

Now fixed and live, so you should see it in the Cable section.

Hi

With the emergence of DX 10, nVidia`s up and coming chips, ATI/AMD working on the successor to the R600, Hitachi`s 1TB baby, Intel getting pally with the nVidia camp because Intel wants in on the GPU market, there is a lot of news but nowhere specific to put it or if that is not acceptable or of not much interest maybe just a thread ?

Ann
