The ex Diamond Cable, Nottingham/Leicester headend area went active last Month. The service sucked to start with but is getting slightly better.

I didn't think that the old Diamond cable used wire, well not to the green boxes at the end of the road anyway?

Sorry i meant (FTTH) Fiber to the Home as to Lincsat`s "went active last Month" as opposed to Copper.

Link > FTTH

Its been suppled by quite a few Home building Company's as standard

It's HFC (Hybrid Fibre Co-ax) or put another way, Fibre to the big Green cabinets and Copper from there to the home. AIUI, there isn't any Fibre to home yet, even the proposed 50meg service will be Ethernet from the Green street box to home.

Hi peakey

What the line load is and what you actually get are usually two different things, its an idea to run some speed tests from different sites and compare them. my line is 8MB and i get around 6.5MB DL
