Hi

Got the Box Key using OCD Commander alone, all thanks to Slacky and the bytes he provided.

Thanks a lot guys.

I have programed my card and inserted. How long does it take to update, and unlock the channels ??

Thanks

Don't worry mate, I wished I had not posted that the second I pressed send.
Note to self: don't post on message boards the second you return home after a tough day at the office.LOL

The idea here is we all help each other mate....that's what we do, just can't help it I guess!

Exclamation Re: Funcard 4 for the Sammy 2100

Hi

Now that I've done the Jtag-ing and I'm 100% sure about the IRD and BK. I went ahead and created an exteep using RHV1 and Swapbinhex (I put IRD backward also I put keys in). For the flash I used Chaos V3 Flash.

I power up box, and let everything update and come up. I put it on BBC1 and I get message saying my smartcard isn't inserted properly blah blah. So I insert the Funcard 4 and wait 15 minutes.

When I then go onto Nat Geo wild I don't get anything (Black + Blank) However I do get the info saying what programe is currently showing when I press TV.

Can anyone help me fix this problem, please

Ciwan
I suspect the card has been written incorrectly if you are getting a black screen and no message to say you are not subscribed.
I'd try writing it again, it sounds like the IRD & BK are correct if you have used the correct bytes.
I don't use RHV1 so can't tell you the specifics with that programme. YOu could always try the IRD the other way. In some instances I have found it works the correct way and sometimes not....god knows why.

Hi

Thanks Bubba, I'll try re-programming the card and putting the IRD forwards instead of backwards.

I'll let you know how I got on.

Default Re: Success !!

Hello friends

I got the box working thanks to you all your help has been much appreciated.

Right here is what I done:

I got an Ntl_Rom11 image. I opened that in NagraEdit 4.1 and went onto Data Editor, there I put my IRD (forward), Box Key and the latest public keys (from bigmaq toolbar) and saved the image onto my desktop as [ exteep.bin ] (Note: it is important that you have a .bin at the end).

Then I went to my desktop and renamed what was [ exteep.bin.bn11 ] to [ exteep.bin ] and I got the {Chaos V3 Hex} flash file (available from download section on Techwatch).

After that I opened the Infinity programmer software > erased the funcard 4 > loaded my 2 files > clicked on [ write ] and vooolllaaa card done.

I then powered on the box, waited for 5 minutes for everything to come, then I put it on BBC 1 (might get a message saying card not inserted blah blah, just click OK) and inserted my programed card. after 5 minutes all channels were unlocked and I was sat down watching my fav channel [ Nat Geo Wild ] lol

hope this helps anyone in need

Once again, thanks to all you guys that helped me achieve this

Great news.
Now you have got to sort the PIN out, to be fair thats a doddle in comparison.
Simply connect the JTAG up and rund OCD like you have done before and click on MACRO. It will bring a browse window, insert the MAC (either NONET for a long wait or Dalmations for a quick one) and let the computer do the rest.
Oh do not do anything on the computer while OCD runs the MAC and try and reduce as many running programmes as possible. I even turn off my AV & Firewall (disconnect ethernet cable). To help speed things up a little.

Hope this helps
