Exclamation Re: Pogo Jtag-ing Samsung 2100C

Hi Bubba

Thanks man, I had forgotten about the Pin thing. Right so this pin is for watching the Sky movies, correct ?

Am I finding out what the pin is ? or am I creating one ?

How long does this step take ?? cause my arm will be killing me if its 10 minutes of holding the pogo Jtag pins in place

Right so I connect the JTAG up and run OCD like I did before and click on MACRO. where is this Macro ?? is it a button ?

After that this will bring up a browse window, I then insert the MAC. where do I get the MAC from ?? and what do you mean by either NONET for a long wait or Dalmations for a quick one.

Sorry Bubba I am new to this whole pin sorting out problem

Thanks a million man

Right first thing first, forget the idea of holding the JTAG while you do a PIN fix. You need to hold it for a couple of minutes at least and will end up with a claw hand...LOL, no good if you intend to watch all the PIN protected channels....sorry just could not resist that one.
I use a jewellers screwdriver that goes through the holes in the side of the box to hold the JTAG in place. Just make sure what ever you use to wedge the JTAG in place does not damage it or short out the wires.

More to follow...

Right once you have the JTAG safely in place go through the entire process as if you were to use OCD to find the IRD.... you know box in debug mode, run DRV, make sure the MAC_MOT is running to get OCD running but don't go as far as putting in a byte.

Hope you are with us so far...

Right look at OCD screen and there is a row of command prompts near the top of the screen, the one on the far right is MACRO. Left click on this and it will bring up a directory browser where you will be highlighting the correct MAC (macro file) to actually run on OCD.

Right to find the MAC look in the downloads section on the group and you will see that I have added a file in the cable TV section called 'Optimised MAC files' well something like that. Download them and find the 2100c MAC and save it to your desktop.

So back to OCD, when you click MACRO and it gives the browser window sellect the MAC you now have on your desktop, the second you do that OCD will start to download the MAC to your box.

Untill recently there was only one macro available for the 2100c which was called NONET, this worked fine but was so large it took over 30 minutes to download which is ok if you only have one box to do and nothing else to waste your time on! There is now an optimised macro created by Dalmation (thanks mate) which dramatically cuts this time to a couple of minutes.

The macro once installed creates a PIN number and re-writes any already in place. The NONET is 1111, Dalmations is 1234.

Do all the above and you should now be able to access PIN protected channels.

Hope this helps, I have to say it's quite hard to explain things for begginers without taking for granted certain bits.
Thank god I'm not employed as a teacher!

Don't worry I get the rest. So you won't have to explain all over again. Just need to know what DRV and MAC_MOT are.

Thanks

I'm going to look silly now since I'm not really sure what they do. I thought they were the drivers that allowed you to use the JTAG and OCD.
I think they are all available in the downloads section, seem to think they might be in a bit called PIN on sammy. If you can't find them let me know and I'll upload them for you mate.
You might be using a different version of OCD than me so try and click on macro without it who knows?

Thumbs up Re: Pogo Jtag-ing Samsung 2100C

Hi

I ran OCD like normal I clicked on Macro and opened that Mac file you told me about. When I clicked open the top bit of OCD went complete white (no writing) and at the bottom it said Display off !!

Right at the bottom though there were number that kept changing, so I thought this is it, it is doing it.

After a while display came back on, and there was writing again !!

I disconnected everything, closed box again. powerd box on, this time the box took longer to update about 10 minutes, I thought it was gonna stay on Ld:30 but after 5 minutes it moved on.

Anyways everything was updated and I got the free channels, I then inserted my card and waited 5 minutes, and I got all my unlocked channels.

I then went to Sky Movies and click the red button and the movie worked straight away, without asking for a pin or anything like that !!!!

So I guess everything worked. All thanks to you guys

Thanks a zillion

Well done mate, forgot to mention that when it sticks on Ld:30 you can force it to continue by pressing the down button.

Ain't life great with a little help from the web!
