Arrow Digital Satellite Meters

Hi all

My uncle has worked in the satellite business for years (putting them up, tuning them, ...etc) he now wants to use the new technology available for directing the dish towards a desired satellite.

Does anyone know where I can get him a digital satellite meter (that has battery power, so that it could work every where) for about £100-£150?

Thanks all

If he's worked in the business, doesn't he already have a satellite meter - I wouldn't dream of attempting an install without one.

All the satellite wholesale suppliers will have decent meters, but they cost double what you're looking to spend. Maybe have a look on ebay for an ex-sky type "premier" meter or an Horizon or something similar.

Here's a few Ebay links:

New SF3000 SF-3000 Pro Digital Satellite Finder Meter on eBay Other Satellite Cable, Satellite Cable Freeview, Consumer Electronics

LACUNA SKY DIGITAL SATELLITE INSTALLATION METER on eBay Other Satellite Cable, Satellite Cable Freeview, Consumer Electronics

Horizon HDSM V2.5 Satellite Meter on eBay Other Satellite Cable, Satellite Cable Freeview, Consumer Electronics

Exclamation Re: Digital Satellite Meters

LOL no Lincsat, he doesn't have one, even though he's been doing this for 15 years.

He's from the middle east you see, where they don't have such fancy gadgets! he positions a sattelite by eye co-ordination. But now that he is here in the UK, he doesn't know where to point the dish. Because UK is higher up (towards the arctic) than Syria was.

I find a lot of satellite meters on e-bay costing around £50 !!! What's the deal with them ones ??

Would they find Hotbird for my uncle ?? cause that's all we want LOL HOTBIRD

Our channels are on there you see, like MMC, Roj TV, Kurdistan TV, KurdSat TV ....etc
