Hi guys can anyone tell me how to do a forced update
on a pace di4001-n....

is there one? ide of thought just hold down services when 1st put in power at boot up, but i dont know mate hopefully someone can help you, im not clued up on 4001 (i dont like them) sorry mate

I dont think you can, i just pull red jumper for a few minutes replace, boot up into eng menu, set pin and frequency,pull plug and replace and you will see numbers roll on display as it updates new epg and finds channels , you will see nit etc first if it has to tune net id.

hold in chanell down button on boot up untill you see boot then let go, could be wrong but are you not in t/wonkers area if so box does not do,

That's forced boot (not update), sometimes works when box stuck in tune.

Hold down the standby button and power up until 0000 appears then press "up,right,down,left"
Panel should display 4321 then press ok and numbers should roll.

Jimmy bomb is right i have done couple of them in this way it will take couple of minutes and show some bytes on the secreen and update the frequency and the rest of the bits.

sorry jimmy never seen 0000 on a pace 4001 box on a 4000 and a 4010, but again never on a 4001?
