After much help from this forum I managed to re-image my dbox yesterday using the Blade Trinity image.
This was a total success - until all channels suddenly disappeared. I receive the message "No channels found, please rescan via Dbox/settings" I have attempted to rescan several times, I know to use the 6952 setting but even so I have also tried the full UK scan. The scan appears to work ok, I can see the channels being found as normal but at the end the "no channel" message appears. The only thing that does appear to work properly is the image itself - all I need now is a picture! ![]() |

Thanks Lincsat
I tried again, this time using lincsat 4.5 image. Dbox hangs at "loading kernel", this is going from bad to worse. When flashing via the remote and choosing "without bootloader" what would a "full flash" do instead? When I FTP'd the image to Dbox's /temp folder I received an "already exists" message which is strange as I haven't used you image previously. I overwrote and ended up as above. PS Now the box won't reboot I am unable to use FTP (obviously), I guess this means a serial cable and IFA?? Last edited by Shaddax; 23-07-07 at 04:24 PM. |

Strange one that - Sounds like the image did not FTP over correctly, do you have a firewall or Internet security application on your computer interfering with transfers?
You will now need IFA to flash the image, get it here - Hallenberg.com dbox2 Linux Umbau Service Neutrino d-box d-box2 Disable your firewall and AV products before flashing. |

Thanks for your reply Lincsat.
I have connected to Dbox using a USB-UART cable (which I used to flash a freeview box recently) and connected ethernet ports via cat 5 cable (although windows says cable unplugged as dbox not switched on). I ran IFA, chose the lincsat image, chose the cabled connection (rather than my wireless), chose null modem = yes, click Start and OK. As soon as the dbox is turned on I get a flurry of error message windows saying something about transmission failure error code 1 then my laptop reboots. IFA seems so simple, what can be going wrong? |

Your RS232 cable needs to be crossover or null-modem configuration (just like any other cable box), If your network cable is connected direct to the PC, you need a crossover type and your PC network card needs setting to a fixed IP, something like 192.168.100.10. Try disabling your wireless card and all firewall and antivirus applications. Then try it again.

I somehow managed to flash via dboxmanager but found myself heading towards square 1 again.
I have FTP'd the Blade image again, again it worked perfectly - for a while, then all channels lost. All the menu items are functional including the scan. The scan appears to work ok, I can see the channels being found and it is around 248 tv plus 30 or so radio and 30 or so data. As soon as the scan is over I get the "no channels found" message. All ideas appreciated. |

I suspect that you may have a hardware fault, maybe a memory problem - try all the different images you can find in case it's a configuration problem.

Hardware settings, Avia settings, Ucodes amongst others - try my image. that supposedly works well on some dodgy Sagems
