attenuation disabled pace 4001n - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Have a Pace 4001n which is stuck on tune updating. Frequency correct etc but on page 4 eng menu it says attenuation disabled but not able to change. Other boxes I can change to low or high. Any idea what causes this.

don't know whats wrong but this has happend to me i just pulled red jumper
then did a netid with a funcard and that worked

Did you put the jumper back on after you put the card in or before.

you just pull the jumper count to ten the put it back in

Yes put jumper back first.

have you tried force booting it. this is how i do it. whilst unplugged
DOWN button on box hold it down then plug it in keepin hold of it till u see the boot on screen. try that and see wat happens.

Goes to NTL home page NO= Channels currently available 0 channel only

iv got 1 that does that no channels available possibly blocked by VM.

When you have pulled the red jumper you have to reset the freq and pin in eng menu, then reboot, if you dont reset freq it wont update, it should auto set net id.
