Eurovox 2008 in N*L Galway (Ireland) — newbie

Great forum. Have been looking at other posts, but am still kinda unclear.

I have ordered a Eurovox 2008 model from eBay which has the July firmware already installed.

Will this literally be 'plug and play', i.e. when I do a full scan, I should have all the channels? My problem is, I use Mac not PC and would not be able to upload any files to the box.

Will the PPV channels be available also?

Should be ready and plug and play if you got it from ebay, also you can ask the guy to flash it with the latest file for you. It would be useful to get a pc though even just a basic one so you can upload files. But it doesnt work with ppv movies, unless you do a powerscan and you randomly pick up ones that poeple have ordered, but theyl go off after a while,

It's quite possible that the box will come with the wrong channels loaded for your area (it will probably have a channel dump for one of the UK areas), but that's not a big problem to sort.
First are you using N*L or CH**US in your area. Then depending on which one you use you will need to change the Symbol rate before you do a power scan.
