hi all,

Just been introduced to this forum courtesy of my eurovox max V2 (red box) decoder that i purchased the other day. Been having a few problems with setting it up which is why i am calling out to anyone who will listen.
Basically i plugged it in and got most of the channels but the pixelation wasn't the greatest on a lot of the channels(like trying to watch a match on broadband) and the sound kept coming and going.
My analogue cable works fine and i have tried 3 different feed cables from the n*l connection point, detached splitter etc but no improvement.
Finally had the brain wave to go to factory default settings, i reset both symbol rates 6.887 and 6.952 and deleted channel info. Then tried a power scan which gave me some freq's back (approx 6 between 291MHz and 395MHz) but now i don't have any channels at all. No signal found keeps appearing.
Have i deleted the s/w or am i missing something simple. I don't have an RS232 cable to download new s/w but would get one if it solved my dilema (does that work in ireland).
Could probably send it back to the bloke i got it off but would like to try and resolve it myself unless i have completely screwed it up.

Any suggestions most welcome and greatly appreciated.Sorry if i rambled on a bit

Tom
