Yes it was the battery it wasn't holding the charge put in new it work fine now

tried this on a 1000 - doesn't work. Can someone explain to me what batterty i am meant to be replacing? ive got a few 1000s which i can get a battery out from...Also is soldering required?

Hi Steve,

I've got the same Err3 on a 2000. Where did you get the battery from and which one?

Tips on replacing really appreciated.

from what i remember you cant miss the battery on a 1000 box.near the red jumper.& yes it will need soldering.but 1st i'd check what voltage it's giving out,it may be ok & not the fault.

I have searched on the forum and it seems there is no cure for an err3 problem - I have cleaned the ram chips inside the box and generally the whole main board...i have reset the box by lifting the jumper etc.....nothing seems to work....

another thing i cannot set net id cuz i get an error comms failed....
