Default Windows Media Player Issue

Have recently tweaked the PC and added RAM (now have 1gig), but now have 1 problem. When I run windows media player the CPU usage hits 100% and play is very jerky both sound wise & video wise...soon as I shut down WMP, CPU usage drops right back to under 10%....am running Celeron 2Ghz processor....Tho never really had this problem before.

Have tried uninstalling WMP & re-installing but no difference....tho didnt fully uninstall, just rolled back to previous version.

Any ideas?

Hi Anna ms

I think you will need to uninstall WMP with Add and Remove and via Windows Explorer, you will also need to erase Registry entries (if you are not happy in the registry i can provide a link to a tool that will erase the WMP enters) after all clean you can download WMP v11 > Here to Desktop and install in safe mode.
