My brother's pc keeps crashing every few minutes, ive formatted his c drive which has a partition on it but left the d: drive of the partition intact. All was going fine until yesterday the problem came back and I dont know what it can be, anyone have any ideas?

It could be Virus, have you tried an Anti-Virus Program? also try Adware and Spware, hopefully should solve the problem.

Hi wolfy

Three main reasons for a crash 1 Virus 2 incompatible applications 3 system over worked, so to start please download spybot > Here to desktop install and run in safe mode then please post back.

no its either if you have installed drivers lately it might be one of them stopping your pc from working/crashing or it could also be a virus which on most computers does crash all computers and stops them from working so i would advise you to download either the spybot which helps the computer or the Avg which does also help get rid of the viruses and any other stuff thats crashing computer

actually, most problems i've had with the computer crashing have been from overheating. try running everset free edition. i can't post the link yet but it's easily googleable "everest free edition"

and do a test to see what your temperatures are. it may just be one of the fans on it's way out

yeh i suppose that it could be that but it could also be either the drivers or a lot of viruses on the pc it wont just be the fan overheating as ive never had my pc fan over heating but i have had the problems with viruses and missing drivers on m pc but eventually i got rid of them so i think its defo got to be the virus thats on your pc it could be as the viruses all have a name it could be the worm virus or it could be the trojan horse virus or it might be just the drivers that are missing from your pc
