Default Widescreen?

Hi There everyone

Before I start I just wanted to say hello and say what a great help this forum has been already for me since I brought my Eurovox Max V 2008 model.

Just a quick question really, why is there not a Widescreen option in the TV Settings menu as surely the majority of people have widescreen tv's now? I know you can get it via the letterbox mode and then zooming in on your tv settings but that gets tedious after a while and blocks out most of the epg at the bottom. Do you think there will be a widescreen option in a firmware update in the future?

Cheers, Steve

yea, vox 2008 does not output widescreen, only 4:3, noe of these boxes seem to do yet
widescreen films can be watched letterbox in 4:3 mode or with cropped sides,
of course if your tv the right zoom setting you can use widescreen mode on yout tv and zoom the letterbox in but the pic wont be as good as a propper anamorphoc setting.

a shame, heres to an update if its poss.

eurovox max v doen not do widescreen, it only does letter box 4.3 or cropped fullscreen 4.3 if you are getting widecreen from a eurovox then you tv is streching the 4.3 out put to widescreen

dbox 2 and replay do do widescreen the dbox2 is best value as has best picture quality, reliability, and media player and record to pc,
get a plug and play one though that has been loaded up and in dbug mode
otherwise it is a bit complicated to set up.
