Hi all,
I had a new Eurovox Max V delivered this morning, its all connected correctly and I have cleared the channel memory before doing a full power scan. It searches through all the frequencies but the tp does not change from 000. I have checked the firmware which has a date of 28 June 2007, not sure what else to do. I have been trying for a few hours and the wife is not best pleased with me for wasting her day off work in front of a blue screen thats not doing anything .I didn't get a CD like I have read some have but I was told everything is already on the box, I'm not sure how to check so I can't be sure. Has anybody got any ideas? I have read millions (slight exageration) of threads on here but can't find a solution. |

**Quick Update**
I found a thread on here mentioning a hidden menu if you go into the language selection menu and tap in 1968 from the remote, enambling emulation and keying in 1968 once more. I did this and was presented with loads of cable company names, after flicking through some I came across two listings for T*l*W*st. I selected one at random and did another full powerscan. After a while 50 Transponders were found along with 250 channels, good times. ![]() After weeding out all the duplicates I was left with 5 channels, bad times. ![]() It seems that all 50 transponders passed along the same 5 channels, any idea what might be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I'm probably completely wrong in my assumptions as I am completely new to such things but wouldn't reverting to factory settings reset my firmware?

Tried scanning both baud rates, 6.887 results in nothing found but I do live in an ex T***W*st area so I didn't hold out much hope for that. 6.952 gave me the same five channels repeated fifty times and one of those is just a splash screen asking me to press red. The wife is extremely pissed off with me like I did it on purpose.
Not sure what to try next as I have done everything mentioned on this board to no effect. The only thing left to try is resetting to factory settings, I have found the software online, am I right in thinking that I only need the latest firmware and dnumpman? That will have to wait anyway, as I don't have the required cable having spent all my money on a box that I was told by the seller was guaranteed to work. |

clear data ,factory reset ,select TW symbol rate, change power scan from normal to full ,tell wife to shut it, do a scan but before you do so remove any splitters you have as scanning needs a stronger signal ,failing that you need a channel data file for your area .

Hi all, my first post on here, I think I had the same problem. I could not find any transponders. So I re-flashed the firmware for my box and then uploaded the channels for my area. Worked find until the other night when the electric went now I need to upload the cannels again

hi this might sound stupid for you people who are new to using the boxes but it is a known issue that if you do not have your cable feed connected to the right rf in socket then it will not find any channels. your cable feed should be connected to where it says RF IN.

I cleared the channel data and reset to factory settings on the 6.952 baud (I am in an ex Telewest area and cannot recieve anything on 6.887), made sure the cable was plugged into the RF connection and removed the splitter so that the cable was connected directly to the wall. I uploaded the latest firmware to the Eurovox via a null modem cable and did a full power scan.
The power scan picked up 47 transponders but only 3 channels repeated 47 times. I even tried telling the wife to shut it as advised but recieved a black eye and no extra channels, does anyone have any ideas as I am pulling my hair out. Any help is very much appreciated. |
