Hi. new forum member here. I tried to post to the introductions thread, but it said it was closed?
I have V*rgin Broadband and was wondering if I got a Eurovox that I would get all the channels? Only reason I ask is that I asked an ebay seller the same question and he said that I wouldn't get all the channels as I was not subscribing to any V*rgin TV products. Is this true? Or are there soem people with only cable broadband who use that particular connection with their eurovox? Also where would I get a splitter from and how easy is it all to setup cos I am a bit of an idiot when it comes to technology. Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can give this newbie. |

If you have broadband you WILL get all the channels.you wont need a splitter if ur cable box on the wall has 2 outlets (ur modem is in 1 already).

I'm in the same situation as you and I can get all the channels fine but I've not used broadband and the tv at the same time - I'm waiting on the splitter to arrive. Does anyone know if it will affect the speed of my broadband? I'm on the 20mb package and don't really want the speed dropping because I'm watching tv.
Thanks Craig |

you can use a sipliter and watch tv with the broadband. if you feel that you are loosing signal or tv secreen is freezing buy an Amplifier from argos and use it for tv Every thing will work all right. None of the Modified boxes talk backincluding samsung and pace

I have set up two Euro boxes for mates who do do not have Virgin/C&W/TW etc etc accounts one with a modem as well and they both use splitters with no ill effect. From what I can make out as long as there is a cable outlet in your property then the signal gets sent down it.
I also have a 3way splitter on my own cable, 1 for euro 1 for Virgin box and 1 for BB, I still get 18.75mbs when all are on. |

I used to have a cable feed into my house but it was not live. You need to make sure its on in the big grey/green box in the street.
