1000 phase 1b

Can anyone confirm that a 1000 phase 1b doesnt work in nthell area,my son came round yesterday with it ,its for one of his mates. I said to him i didnt think it would work. He says that it was working up till the may thing. Its got a c&w card with it which is cooked. I connected it up to see anyway and it goes pace then cccc, so im probably answering my own question. Also it has nthell on the front ? I know its not on the list that i think asek posted about what works where, but 4000s are not on it and they work in nthell but stay on the old blue epg and get more channels. can docsis and davic boxes be converted or are they completly different ?

i don't thinki t does mate had same problem in nthell area gave it to me an excw area worked fine

Strange i think it works in nthell area. as i have been giving to a guy who lives in nthell area. ? there is a guide avaiable for all these types of the boxes which i read on the net some where cant remember about it. it tells you every thing about all types of boxes what DOCSYS means which area it will work which boxes are different type. Some one might able to tel you where you can get it from mate. Sorr that i didnt save it when read on the net.

Well the mystery remains, the box is fkd just comes up cccc or giberish. cant even get into eng menu. thanks anyway.

did you short the bettry......or made any chnages to the circuit ?

I had the sim card out to use p&p got bk ok, tried getting into eng menu with it connected up it just goes from pace to cccc and then a load of rubbish that doesnt make sense, i have cleaned sim and replaced still the same.

load of rubbish? you dont mean errs flas lait etc? if so its trying to update perhaps leave it a while, not savvy with these boxs do they have a red jumper?
