is my card out of date

hello,

this is my first thread in this forum.
i recently moved house where they already had a satellite dish so i went to the carboot and bought a thomson skydigi box with a blue digital viewing card. i cannot recieve channels 4 or channel 5. i only have about 20 channels to watch. i thought i would be able to get some of the freeview channels. i have never had sky before so i am not quite sure if the card is out of date or if i have to phone sky up for a new one. thanks for you help.

Try leaving on channel4 or 5 for 24 hours - the cards time out if not in a program stream for a month or so.
