I have the lowest spec Dell Axim X30. So no bluetooth or wireless.
Ive just got a wireless router, is it possible to convert my PDA to a wifi device ? Possibly with an SD addon ? |

Yes you can get wifi SD cards. Have a look on ebay, they have plenty.
they look kinda horrible as they stick out far more than a built in wifi. And im not sure how reliable they are either. |

My concern with the external wifi, like the SD cards for these devices, is they often use up a lot more power than the built-in devices. Since they are made to work with many devices, they are not really tweaked to be as efficient as possible.
I would keep that in mind. |

If it has a CF slot then that's even better - the transmitters stick out less, are cheaper and have a smaller chance of breaking (because they don't stick out so much!) but I didn't have an option with my iPaq...my model only has the SD slot so I had a look around (and decided NOT to buy one off of eBay...) and found one that has worked for over 2 years, without a hitch - the software is quite good too!
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=89714 I think it's gone up in price since I bought it though...maybe they've changed some of the insides? |
