I am currently awaiting delivery of a Eurovox Max V which will hopefully arrive today. I’ve read some posts on here from people advising others to keep a Virgin Media box plugged in as it sends a signal back to VM. Anyway, I have a query around this with regards to my own set-up.
My current set-up is as follows: - NTL analogue box (with ‘Baby J’ attached which is still going strong after 9 years) in my living room; - Extra NTL analogue box plus broadband via a splitter in my bedroom. When my new Eurovox arrives what I propose to do is to set it up in my living room after removing the NTL box, keep my current analogue box in the bedroom, attaching the ‘Baby J’ that was previously utilised in the living room. Will the signal from the NTL analogue box in the bedroom sent back to VM be sufficient without having to keep the other analogue box connected in the living room along with the Eurovox? |

I don't know if the analogue boxes actually talk back to the network - you will likely be OK with what you suggest.

Got my Eurovox yesterday & couldn't wait to get home to get it up and running. Unfortunately things didn't go to plan. Connecting it to the cable & TV was as far as I got, as there was no picture on the TV the menu didn't appear when that button on the remote was pressed. As I don't have a scart lead I'm hoping that obtaining one will rectify the problem - will pop out from work and buy one.

If you have connected it to your TV via an RF lead then the you need to tune your tv to find the deafult channel the box is set to. Possibly 36.
Best option is to get a scart. |

Scart lead sorted it out & after a couple of powerscans am now up and running, chuffed with it. Although I can't seem to get the terrestrial channels without the Eurovox. Have had a quick go at tuning the TV with no joy. Am really missing Teletext, but will have a look through the forum to see if this has been discussed before when I get a chance.
