Default Switching Over To Virgin Media (NTL)

Any Info Would Be Grateful !

I am planning to cancel my SKY contract and switching over to Virgin Media enabling me to purchace a Eurovox Box for its many reasons ?

The question is: -

1: The area that I live in is not on the underground NTL cable network. Yet Virgin Media Customer Services advised me that it is still possible to receive the service (Broadband & Telephone) through an existing BT telephone line and that a one off payment of £40 is required for the basic TV package ?

So, will the EUROVOX work on that setup ???

I understand the usual cable installation setup, eg: Cable runs from the street and into the white box in the house and then to the modem and tv setup box ?

But through a standard BT Line ???

Before I commit myself to the change-over and ordering the Eurovox...

WILL IT WORK ???

Thanks for listening... Be Grateful for any feedbacks

Just made sure with Virgin's Customer Services to clarify the info was right. She checked my post code and even though the area I live in is not covered. Yet an existing BT Line is only required ( which I have ) is needed to connect to its network ???

Sorry Guys ???

Virgin Media is giving away free freeview boxes to customers outside their network area. So telephone & broadband service is only available through a standard BT line and the TV service is viewed through a freeview digibox supplied with the package.
