To Uninstall a Driver in Windows XP
Click > Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager in the window you will see a list of devices on your PC on the left of there names you will see a box with a +, the one next to the device that you wish to uninstall the drivers from click it and in the drop down double click on the devices name and a window will open, at the top >Driver as fig 1 Fig 1 ![]() I used a DVD / RW optical drive from one of my Computers as an example but this will also apply to say a Graphics Card, at the bottom > uninstall and follow prompts (NOTE only uninstall a Driver if you have a replacement new Driver to install), and Drivers are best installed with all Anti Virus software switched off or in Safe Mode from Desktop.
