Default Central Heating Problems

Hi I have a worcester 24i which has been working fine but just before summer it developed a problem were the heating will only come on if i switch the heating on then run the hot water and wait untill the boiler fires up then turn the hot tap off. The heating will then stay on, anyone got any ideas cheers jwilly53

sounds like a pump problem you need a plumber

Hi

It is either the pump (which I doubt, as it runs when hot water is demanded) or the flow switch. Thw flow switch indicates the water is moving and enables the burner to fire. These devices do fail sometimes or some have adjustment on them and can be set during part of the commissioning process.
Look in the manual and see if you can locate the flow sensing device and then if it is adjustable.
