Question Eurovox via Wireless???

tbh, i am bit of a technophobe. I have Virgin broadband modem connection, which is upstairs. Say if i were to get wireless in the house, would i able to use the Eurovox via the wireless somehow???

thanks

erm no...not exactly.
Your eurovox must be connected to the VM cable, but you could then connect one of those wireless scart AV senders.
It's not in the same bands as wireless networking but will enable u to receive the VM output on any TV in the house wirelessly

thanks!

the wireless scart AV sender sounds like a good idea. But say if i got wireless internet in the house anyway, would the signal interfere with the wireless scart AV sender???

My BB is wireless and I also use an AV sender with no problem. Both are sending from the same room (router is blekin and AV sender is from Aldi)

I think at the time I bought the AV it did suggest on the instructions possible clashes with signals from the BB but it had 3 different transmit settings. 2 settings were pretty poor but 1 worked really well. Even though 2 settings were poor from a visual point of view I never noticed any drop on my BB regardless of settings used)

Hope this helps - Rick

thanks for clarifying

i'll probably end up connecting the eurovox through my Virgin Freeview box if i get confirmation that the engineer connected via coax cable, not aerial. If not, i will ponder connecting the Eurovox upstairs to the broadband and use a AV sender downstairs but wouldn't it be a pain to change channels?????

I guess they could, but I have both together and no problems.
They both use 2.4Ghz.

I also have a phone at 2.4 and all live happily together, although I have read of people who suffer interference between devices.

I guess alot is down to the manufacturers used and the location of each device.

There are alternatives for tv senders at 900Hz and 5.4Ghz but i don't know much about them.

thanx,
sorry if my questions are bit der! but i am bit of a technophobe!

do you know of any reputable sellers of Eurovox on ebay and elsewhere???
would it be better to buy a Eurovox that comes loaded with the latest software, so i won't have to hook it up to the PC via null cable lead???

Check your fleabay sellers rep carefully, there are a few clone boxes out there..most are ok though. Confirm not a clone with them before you purchase.

The latest firmware maybe installed but all should provide the null cable and an F connecter. You may still need future firmware upgrades, who knows whats around the corner.
