Eurovox Max Red 2007

I recently bought a used Eurovox Red Box 2007 from a guy on EBay who advertised it as in A1 condition. When I got the box I ran a Power Scan and got my channels up and everything seemed rosy. Later on though I got a message saying 'Searching for Signal' and when I checked the signal was down to 8%. I had connected the box directly to my NTL outlet so it wasn't run off a splitter. Later that night I tried again and hey presto it came back but when I turned on the TV this morning I got 'Service Unknown' and 'No Signal'. I reset the box to Factory Default and then done a Firmware Upload (03/07).
Now the box cannot locate any transponders during a Power Scan in either 6.887 or 6.952 Mhz so now I'm left with a lame duck. Normally I should get 13 transponders here in Dublin to get all my channels. I should also point out that I already have a Red Box in my Living Room connected to the other NTL outlet in the house and it's running perfectly with a signal output of 87%. I even hooked up the troublesome box to that NTL connection to see it if detected the signal but it showed up a signal output of just 3%.

Needless to say I'm not a happy bunny. Any ideas?
