REQ: Idiots Guide To Updating Firmware On Eurovox Max

Hi Guys,

Bit of a noob when it comes to stuff like this.. All I know is how to plug the box in and scan for channels and then sit and watch what I want..

However I need to update my firmware to the FEB 07 on but havnt got a clue on what to do..

Ive read the stickys and im still not sure on how to do this so is there anyone out there that can show me an idiots guide on what to do and what software I need?

I have at the moment the EUROVOX MAX BLUE BOX 19_02_07 firmware, Voxer , DnUpMan DVBC FAV 820060314C and lastly EUROVOX MAX FULL EPG FIX 040706. Oh and I also have a null modem cable as well...

Thanks for anyone out there who can show a thick noobie on what to do...

THE COMPLETE IDIOTS GUIDE TO FLASHING LOL

This is the old Dnupman way of flashing and should now only be used on clone eurovox max and eurovox 1 + 2

1.connect your box to pc and power up (your pc wont detect the box yet)
2.open Dnupman
3.click on browse and locate your firmware
4.click on download and Dnupman will start checking your com ports for a eurovox
5.when its found your box click start to send the firmware
6.it should now start downloading and should take approx 3 mins to flash
7.when download is finished it might say download failed,but should jump to download successfull straight away.
thats it done! any problems i will try to help you with but you wont (shouldnt) have any!!


ALL original maxes blue 06, red 07 and max Vs should be flashed this way using the unified firmware+loader

Thanks for the quick response... I will try it when I get home later on..

Also can you tell me if i need that EPG FIX or not???

And have i got to use the Feb 07 firmware or the June 07 Firmware??

I purchased my box last November so I dont know if its a clone or not??

wont be a clone if you got it last year mate
you wont need the EPG fix as thats old firmware,the new firmware you flsh will sort your EPG out
just to be safe flash it with the feb blue box as thats the one im still using and not having no problems but the june should work no prob

Its a program you need to download,its in the downloads section ...but I dont think you will be able to see it till you have posted 5 posts ...so you need one more
