did firmware upgrade work or not? Eurovox max 2008

bought a max 2008 last month and firmware on it was 'jun 07' so managed to find 'jul 07' update and flashed it with 'Voxer' but still shows as 'jun07' in system info. can any1 elaborate on this...? maybe i didnt flash properly?
Im tryin desperately to get Sky sports 1, 2 or 3, ive tried every scan poss but no luck and im missin Man U game at moment.

from what i can gather the firmware is the same but with a slight date change.you have all the other channels but sports???sounds strange if you have.try inputing the frequency manually for your area.

hi tekka, i am pretty new to the eurovox thing but learnin fast, i can recieve sky sports x and satanta 1,2 and golf but not even showing sky sports 1... ive just gone out and bought a signal booster which did'nt make a difference. i think im on NThell as it says that on the box on the wall and it is about a year old broadband connection (disconnected). I have also tried scanning manually on freq 491.000 which i believe is the freq for sky sports.
