I've got one of these boxes.
I've managed to remove the sending (green light Flashing) I've got the original card for it. The previous owner has been disconnected from the provider. Is there anyway I can get the required info from the card? I'm a newbie on this subject at the moment. Any help would be gratefully accepted. Please dont tell me to search for this/that etc. If you could just say yes you can or no u cant. MAny thanks Last edited by gordongop; 19-09-07 at 12:25 AM. Reason: updated wrong post |

i've searched and havent found this information so I will provide it.
To kill the talk back on these boxes is easy but it's made harder by the case. firstly) you need to remove the cable input module (it's the silver box with the to tuners plugged into it. The module is connected to the mother by push on connector. I found it easyier to remove the top and side from the unit and just leave the board in place. secondly) If you look at the module there are 2 small twisted metal clips in the centre of the metal plates. remove the one that was facing inside the box. in side your see 2 tracks coming from the cable connector. one track goes up and around and the other one goes down. The track u need is the downward one. ( i found this out by an hour of tracing tracks) if you follow the track down it run along the bottom in to a resister (i think... I'm not electronicly competant) then it runs down to a female pin. On my version of this box i went to pin number 2. Bend up this pin carefully and then put the side back on the module and put the box back together. I bend the pin up incase it dosent work. Saves trying to remake tracks. I connected the box back up and turned on ... I had a green light flashing. I checked the tech settings and the box wasn't able to make an outgoing connection to the sever. |

Just an update .
Pace DiTV 2000 can have the Network ID changed via RS232 and Libby. I've just done it to my play box. It was from an area called plumstead (Network ID 41069) I live under the bromley area (Network ID 41041) When I first tried the box no picture appeared. Now after editing the config file for libby I changed the N.ID and all FTA programs appeared. More updates to come when availble. I will update as required. UPdate Extend... I have found out that if you have an original card you can obtain the BK from that. I'm waiting for my card-reader (new one so I can bin the other one I have as it's crap (see thread in card programmers)). I have investigated and so far the checklist say's I can so i will update further as soon as I know. Last edited by gordongop; 19-09-07 at 12:25 AM. Reason: Extending the update |
