Greetings!
I am new to Techwatch and was thrilled to find such vast and helpfull information on the Eurovox which my husband and I recently purchased... I have been researching all of my morning off on an issue that we would like fixed (if possible). I couldn't find anything similar to our issue, so I have finally given up and decided to post my question - I apoligize if it is silly and in the wrong posting area! Our specs are thus: Model: DVB-XC BoxV TDA S/W Ver 1.0 STC4 Nov 08 2007 H/W Ver 2.0t K5 We live in Dublin & are on Nthell. Currently we are receiving 139 channels and would like to find the extra 3 if available...I have changed frequencies and done several scans based on previous posts... But this is not our issue - making a short story long, here it is: Our time settings are wrong - meaning, when we are watching tv...the program info is off by an hour. Unless we have a tv guide it is difficult to find out what is on at the current time & impossible when looking at the Channel listings screen with program info... I have adjusted the time settings various ways & can't get it right...is this a problem that we have to live with or does it have an easy fix. Regardles, any guidance or advise would be appreciated! ![]() |

This was posted earlier by somebody...... so I cant take the credit
Fixing EPG/Clock Its a problem specific to the Irish EPG stream, in the UK it can be fixed by setting GMT to 00:00, but in Ireland you need to follow these instructions: 1. Pull plug on the back of the EV for a few seconds then plug back in again.. 2. When EV powers up, immediately press menu, configuration and time settings. 3. Set correct time using GMT settings. 4. Then turn GMT OFF. 5. Press blue button to save and exit. It may take more than one attempt so just be patient, it does work. One thing to note though when you have the EPG correct, is to just put it in standby at night, if you unplug it you will have to go through the whole process again.

My N*L Dublin frequencies are 291.00, 299.00, 307.00, 315.00, 323.00, 339.00, 347.00, 355.00, 363.00, 371.00, 379.00, 393.00 and 403.00. To manually set frequencies: Go to User Installation Menu 1. Select channel to be amended Press Green button - 'Channel Edit' then Blue button - 'Modify' 2. Change frequency to the correct value Press OK 3. To add missing frequencies Press Green button - 'Channel Edit' then Red button - 'Add' 4. Strictly in the given order: Type in the Symbol Rate 6.887 Type in the frequency required Select CH NUM and press the INFO button on your remote and type in the new Channel Number Press OK 5. Press Exit to return to User Installation screen Press Red button - 'Update Channels' (at this point your TV screen may go blank for bout 5/10 mins but don't panic this is normal). This will not affect your fav listings You should pick up 139 TV stations this way - happy viewing ![]() |

Hi,
I recently purchased a Eurovox Max 2008 for use on Nthell in Ireland, and since yesterday evening I am getting a message: Please wait as code is being updated or something along those lines. Is this normal as anyone I rang is getting the same messages. When I do a channel update it gives quality and signal strength at 80%+ Are we going to get the channels back as we currently have 3? Thanks |

They have changed the keyroll method and auto update will not work for now so you have to manually input keys everytime they change:
1. Press Menu, press OK on language settings. 2. Press 1968 TWICE on your remote. 3. Key screen will open, use the < or > button on remote to get to Nagravision screen if it is not visible. 4. Press OK on N**. Go down to key data field and enter codes for line 00 first. Use < or > arrows on remote to change numbers/letters. 5. When done press blue button to save and exit. 6. Now scroll down to second N** line and press OK. 7. Do same as above and change key data field for line 01. 8. Press blue button to save and exit. 9. Exit out all the way to view channels. I have sent the codes via pm. |
