Cheer wiped
![]() Chelsea TV for me is coming through on 393.000 and VH1 classic is on 419.000. Have you checked your TV listings to make sure (they could be there but not listed on your favs)? If it's not then go into Menu / Installation / User Installation. Highlight the frequency and hit OK (puts a tick beside the freq) and press blue button (manual scan). If that doesn't pick them up then do a full re-scan ie. Clear Data, Factory Default and Scan @ SATSMO - looks like you removed your CDF file a few days ago

Bought a new DVD recorder but when EV is connected two fairly transparent bars keep moving across the image.
Anyone got any idea what might be causing this. They are like the lines that were generated on old VCR's to help locate the VCR channel, but these seem to be associated with the EV. Would appreciate any help. Thanks. |

@ Lucky I didnt remove it, strange. I updated it and checked that it uploaded and it was at the time?? I have uploaded it again.
CDFs downloaded to boxes with new firmware that includes Autosort may act up a bit and one or two channels need to be reaffirmed to FAV group, (even though they are assigned in the original CDF), hence my update. I have spoke to the Kuro guys and as it was addressed in the 28/04 release (Fav Sort On/Off) maybe it can be revised in future updates. Although FAV Sort can be manually turned off it returns on every rescan, (just a matter of manual switch off so no big deal). @CH have you checked the scart is in all the way and that PAL is selected on the EV in TV settings? Thanks satsmo.
Have tried a few different scarts. TV mode on Ev is set to pal. UHF mode is set to Pal 1. Have put back VCR, which was originally there, and there is no problem with same set up. Looks like HDD DVD recorder is on it's way back. Thanks again, satsmo. You are always there for us. |

No problem, before it goes back try changing the UHF channel in TV settings on the EV as there may be a conflict. Also check to see if it is on the correct source on the DVD, e.g. a Philips has TV/CAM1/Cam2/AV1/AV2, make sure your source is correct. Sorry I dont know what brand you have.

Thanks satsmo.
Got a different model of the Sony machine today. Same problem, though, looks like co channel interference. Think it might be a source problem. I have it coming through Line 1, but maybe it should be set to decoder? Was out tonight so didn't get much time to look at it. Hope to try the decoder setting tomorrow, but there are about 15 steps in the process. Mad. Used be possible to just plug in an input to a scart and that was the end of it. Can't see why it has to be so complex - if it is decoder related. Thanks again. Will let you know the outcome. |

I was beginning to think that this would be very boring for other people and that is why I wanted to remove it from this thread. Have to go out now, but I will start a new thread later on. Basically the problem is that there is very bad interference when the EV is routed through line 1 of the DVD recorder. It looks like co channel interference, or picture overlapping. A message comes from the DVD recorder saying "TV system of this signal is different from the recorder's setting", indicating that there is a problem with the signal from the EV. |

Hi lucky13.
Have started a new thread re. Connection Problems. Hopefully someone will come forward with some ideas. And hopefully, as you say, it might be of help to someone else as well. Thanks for your input. |
