All Nthell Channels & Frequencies (ireland)

a bit off this particular topic maybe, but i recently bought an EX5000 PVR which is my first set-top box. when i do a power scan it can find 50 - 60 channels and a dozen or so radio stations (i would have thought i'd get a lot more), but will not display anything - says they are all scrambled. menus work, i get the schedule of show times and a brief description, but no picture.


fyi, i am in the kildare area on ch*ru$ nt! network if that makes a difference

like i said first box so i'm a bit of a moron with it here. would anyone please be so kind as to pass on the "idiot's guide" to setting up a box before everyone thinks i'm completely lame

You need to add frequencies manually for that area. Input each one of these and do a manual scan on each. Use symbol rate 6875:

356
364
372
386.750
394.750
410.750
418.750
418.750
444
452
460

You will only get approx 85 to 90 channels for that area/provider. You also need to flash it with 1.1a firmware first.

I'm in Dublin 8, Nthell,, My Liverpool F.C, is on Frequency 419.000, I was browsing through my Channel manager, and found another channel on 419.000, its Sport Xchange, not bad either, and on 347.000 Mainstreet is a new channel. Go to Channel Manager, and at the very end of the list, you may find new channels,, I did.

Yer a great help Satsmo, I flashed the box and that did the trick.
Another stoopid question for ye: will running a Power Scan for each of the 3 Symbol Rates do any good, or can I only "top up" my current selection by Manually scanning those freqs you listed?

SportXchange started over a week ago, not bad as you said, a bit like Slybet. Mainstreet took over from preformance over a month ago, its a sister channel but better again.

Thats your lot for now. 6875 is the symbol rate for Ch**us the other two are of no value to you.

I appear to have lost S*y Sports 3 on NTHELL. I know this has happened before with other channels & I have read the posts and followed the advice. However, I can't get it back this time. Anybody else notice this ? Have they moved it to a new transponder ? Are they messing about again ? Any info greatly received as an 8 year old will kill me if WWE is not viewable !!!!
