But then there would be no signal at all or would there??

I have found the specs of the first distribution box - the LABGEAR MSA282, which can be found on page 2 here and of the replacement box - the Antiference A281L Pro, which can be found here.

The only difference I can see is in the wiring into and out of the boxes. The A28 uses F-connectors whereas the MSA282 is connected via standard coax connectors. I'll take the whole set-up around the new box apart and re-wire it myself. Hopefully that will put it to bed, so to speak.

Thanks again for your time.

There may be some intermittent signal. These are not CC issued so I presume the landlord contracted someone in to do the job? I can guarantee you they haven't done it correctly.

Sounds as said earlier that you have no subscription. I would recommend you get a basic subscription and then you are assured of a live connection. Or else test the line all the way yourself. What part of Dublin are you in roughly?

Any luck in rewiring it? Use either CT100 or RG6 and good quality RF connectors.

Just to get back to you, I split the feed before it reached the distribution box. It is now back up and running perfectly.

Thanks for your time in trying to help me with this problem.

Good to see you back, satsmo.
Any idea as to what causes lack of voice sync, or how it can be sorted.
Seems to happen a lot lately.
Cheers!
