Thanks Lucky13, regarding the firmware update are you recommending for example updating the Max V with the AU Fix 30/11/2008 and the EX5000 with the AU Fix 01/12/2008.... Now?

Just need to dig out the cable and find out what box I have again.

please please help! ! ! i have a eurovox max for about a year,,had no problems until now! lost a couple of channels so i did a power scan, all goin ok until the very end, it says "please wait to save"....so i wait.......then the is just a black screen saying "service unkown".....it has the names of the channles and whats on but every channel comes up with the same message "service unkown".i have never had this before, can someone please advise me > ?
