Hi all,

I have been trying, without success to scan a Eurovox EX5000 PVR on Ch***s in Trim, Co. Meath, Ireland for a few weeks. I have updated the firmware with the latest available from the TCB toolbar and did a deep scan and still get nothing.

The info available on this site is much more detailed than any others I have found and having read a previous post on this forum by Satsmo I checked the Nagravision screen, Ch***s is not on the list. Does this mean I can not use a Eurovox in this area?

If I can use a Eurovox on Ch***s could you please advise me by PM what I need to do. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Try updating with firmware v1.1a released 22/07/2008 and menu/config/clear data/restore factory settings, enter your sumbol rate and scan, should work.

Tried this already, also tried all the other firmware to see if any of those worked.

I have also got some channel frequencies from another forum and tried inputtng these manually but have not picked up any channels at all.

I then read that you have to have he box plugged into the direct feed, I had been working on a split signal so I repeated everything on the direct feed and still nothing.

Jabbading, why don't you start again as you have made many tweaks and check what message are you getting on the screen, also have you updated your box with the latest ch***s k*ys following the 18/12/08 k*y roll.

I do not have the latest ch***s k*ys following the 18/12/08 k*y roll, I don't think I ever had any of them in the first place as I never got the box to work.

Can you PM these to me?

rigel just to let you know I did try what you first suggested just in case I had screwed it up.

When the scan completes I have a green bar showing signal strength around 80%, if I hit update channels it tells me there are no transponders to scan.

I take it this is a new box and your first time setting it up, Are you using ch***s 6875 symbol rate.
