Has anyone connected a jtag through USB to Parallel Port?

My laptop hasnt got a Printer Port, will need to connect jtag through USB, but not sure if it will work...

This has been tryed and tested and i can say that it does not work.

umm ive heard of one of them tee im sure its what your talking about but they are very costy im sure i read it once on one of the other forums.

Hi Guys

Dear Tee, I'm sorry to say it does NOT work. I bought one at first, after 3 weeks of trying, I bought another cable (not USB).

With the USB one, no matter what I did, I wouldn't get it to detect

The actual [ usb to female 25 Parallel Ports printer connector cable] (from ebay) costed £1, including postage it costed £4.50.

Are we talking about the same thing here ??

no dont think so mate the thing im thinking off cost about £40 but i cant think what it was, im going to have to find it tommoz, it'll be hard as i dont know what im looking for lol, forget i posted in here i dont know what im talking about lol

LOL, I think it is what Tee is talking about though, cause his 1st post said "Has anyone connected a jtag through USB to Parallel Port?".

Which is why I thought he was trying connect his regular Jtag to his PC/Laptop through a USB!

Only he can tell us, lol
