Just got the box today and after scanning it picks up approx' 100 channels but the only ones I can view is bbc, cbbc and itv4. When I try to access the others a 'please wait code being updated message' appears.

I am in Ayrshire using smallworld formerly wightcable. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

when you scanned did you change the mode from normal to full?
when its found all the channels (about 230-250) put it on sly sports 1 to update the code

Thanks for the response.

Yes the scan picked up 109 channels from over 20 transponders and I did try Full and Normal. Also left it overnight at the signal update prompt (incase I was too impatient) but still got the same problem this morning.

When I go onto channel manager, all 109 are listed with the small viewing window to the right but the only channels that appear are the ones listed as free. The scrambled ones all have the 'please wait, signal updating message'. I will put it on Sky Sp 1 later today though to try - is there a rough guide to the update time?

Tried updating from Sky Sports 1 but still get the same message. Do you know the frequency / pid settings for that channel in my area. Or somewhere that I can goto to check it and manually adjust.

Delete all channels. Unplug from mains and leave it like that 2 - 3 mins. Then set powerscan as follows:

mode normal
start 300.00 mhz
stop 870.00 mhz
symbolrate 6.952 mbaud
symbolrate 6.887
step 8

Go back up so that "normal" is highlighted. Press ok to powerscan. It should scan all 37 transponders now and update the code as well after scanning.

IS there something you need to do after if does the initial scan? When my scan was completed (first time I got the Eurovox out of box) it had a list of 25 "things" which I assume are the transponders? Do you then have to press the red button to auto scan for channels? It stopped at that screen doing nothing, and going back to the menu showed no channels listed

At least that was as far as I am getting now .. no transponders now

Tried the settings you gave but it only found 4 TP's. I then set the start Frequency to 100.00mhz and it found 24 TP'S, over 100 channels, saved the data but still getting the 'please wait signal updating' message. Then goto
channel manager and the only channels i can see are the ones listed as free, the scrambled ones all have the above message.

I have the step option set to 8, is that ok for Ayrshire?

I am having same problems as above and i am also in Ayrshire with smallworld, can anybody give any updates on how to resolve the problem and does euro vox max even work on smallworld?

Hi Simon,

Tried everything to get my new box working. No joy.

Then I was advised to change to the Starview 2 'The box'. Reluctantly I purchased one and after a bit of configuring.......the channels appeared. Been working now for over a week.

The menu system isn't as good but who really cares.

Good bit is that I found someone who was looking for a Eurovox, therefore I got my money back. My advice would be to change your box.

That is all the channels you can get as there is a weak signal in your area. The Eurovox would also work with some manual frequency inputs.
