JTAG Points

hiya, i've not done much reading-up on sammy boxes but i gather you need to jtag them to get the info required to programm a viewing card.
i'm pretty sure you'll get all the info and help you need on this forum. i've just got my own p4ce box up and running with the help of others. just use the search feature and do some reading up, then when you get stuck theres help out there.

do you have to hold with hand or can you mount magnets as weights...as other jtags have heard work , can get tiresome.....

I’m a newbie at programming cards and boxes and been reading up on the Techwatch forum. I have a Sams box from V***in but it only has the basic channels so want to re-porgram it using a Funcard 4 card and Infinite programmer. From reading this post I need to read the information from the box using the JTAG to program the card? Where can I get hold of JTAG kit? Does Lincsats sell them?

remeber only the 2100 can be jtagged no other sammy.

Blackcat JTAG & Surfboard Header or Solderless POGO JTAG for Pace & Sammy

It's not recommended to modify your subscribed box - that's asking for trouble.

anyone got complete diagram for building a jtag for sammy boxes? i can find plenty of info on the pinouts but none on actually building ur own jtag

Thanks for the tip lincsat. I'm not sure where to get a Sammy box. I'm from the north west. Any ideas? I've checked eBay but no luck
